Anoushka Shankar
Born in England in 1981, Anoushka Shankar is following on the footsteps of one of the greatest virtuoso classical sitarists alive, her father Ravi Shankar. Her 2005 album Rise was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Contemporary World Music Category. In 2006, she became the first Indian woman to perform at the Grammy Awards. |
